Mark Phillips has over 16 years of audit and accounting experience, serving clients in a wide variety of industries including media, telecom and other communications; manufacturing and distribution; business process outsourcing; federal, state and local government contractors; real estate; leisure and fitness; insurance; and other services.
Mark manages and supervises the execution of external audit and review engagements of clients ranging from small start-up companies to large multi-location corporations. He also provides technical accounting and business consulting guidance to clients, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, other transaction support and internal controls design and development.
Prior to joining Argy, Mark was a senior audit manager with KPMG LLP in McLean, VA and audit assistant manager with KPMG LLP in Milton Keynes, England. At KPMG, Mark worked on two major SEC registrant restatement audits, including a multi-billion dollar bankruptcy, several S-4 debt registration filings, and SOX 404 audits of internal controls.
Mark has considerable technical knowledge of U.S. and U.K. accounting and auditing standards, has a working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and speaks fluent Swedish.
